Isadora Duncan, born in San Francisco California, dedicated herself to the creation of beauty - through dance. Her focus on the movement of the human body rather than formal kinds of dance helped to give rise to the modern dance movement.

In 1931, when she was 26 years old, in March, “The Star Spangled Banner” officially became the national anthem by congressional resolution.
