He had children Francis Edward Dehel, Thomas Frederick Dehel, Eileen Patricia Franklin, Barbara Jean Schwartz, Lorraine Elizabeth Hegarty, Richard Reilly Dehel, and Matthew Joseph Dehel. Francis Dehel was buried on January 7, 2023 at Lawnview Cemetery 500 Huntingdon Pike, in Jenkintown, Montgomery County.

    Frank Dehel of Philadelphia passed away peacefully Janaury 2,2023 at the age of 91 years old. Frank was born on June 24,1931 in Philadelphia,son of the late Frank M. Dehel and Elizabeth M. Dehel (nee Rosta). Loving husband of Patricia Dehel (nee Reilly) for 67 years. Father of Frank (Liz),Tom,Eileen (Dave),Barb (Phil),Lori (Vince),the late Richard (Angie) and Matt (Christine). Brother of Dianne Walsh. Grandfather of 22 and great-grandfather of 16. He was a beloved Troop 109 scout master and handball enthusiast who will be greatly missed by all. Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing after 9:30 A.M. with Mass beginning at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church,535 Rhawn St. Philadelphia,PA 19111. Interment at Lawnview Cemetery,500 Huntingdon Pike,Rockledge,PA 19046. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made in his memory to The Parkinson's Foundation,1359 Broadway,St. 1509,New York,NY 10018. In 1931, in the year that Francis Joseph Dehel was born, on May 1st, the Empire State Building opened in New York City. At 1,454 feet (including the roof and antenna), it was the tallest building in the world until the World Trade Center's North Tower was built in 1970. (It is now the 34th tallest.) Opening at the beginning of the Great Depression, most of the offices in the Empire State Building remained unoccupied for years and the observation deck was an equal source of revenue and kept the building profitable.
