BOUJEAN, Francis Peter. - July 8, 1968, at hospital, late of 40 Wolger Road, Como West, dearly loved husband of the late Gertrude Boujean, and loved father of Faith ( Mrs. Lewis ), Leslie and Delia ( Mrs. Burns ), dear father-in-law of Ron, Vivienne, and Harold, and devoted grandfather of their children. Aged 67 years. At peace with God. - The Sydney Morning Herald. 10th July 1968.

In 1901, in the year that Francis Peter Boujean was born, shortly after beginning his second term, President McKinley was assassinated by the self proclaimed anarchist Leon Czolgosz. The last President to have served in the Civil War - he began as a private and ended the war as a brevet major - McKinley was a Republican. First elected in 1896, he was re-elected in 1900. Six months after the swearing in, McKinley was shot - and died of the gangrene that set in as a result.
