Francis Thomas Beamish of Murrumbeena, City of Glen Eira County, VIC Australia was born in 1841 in Cork, CO Ireland to Abraham Edward Beamish and Margaret Trinder Kingston. Francis Beamish had siblings Frances Fanny Beamish, Abraham Beamish, John Robert Beamish, Henry Downes Beamish, and Anastasia Beamish Beamish. He married Elizabeth Young (Kingston) Beamish in 1865. They had children Margaret Beamish, Richard Paul Beamish, Avesia Beamish, William Abraham Beamish, and Francis Henry Beamish. He married Anastasia (Connell) Beamish in 1884. Francis Beamish died at age 69 years old on July 6, 1911 in Murrumbeena, VIC Australia.

In 1841, in the year that Francis Thomas Beamish was born, on August 16th, President John Tyler vetoed a bill to re-establish the Second Bank of the United States - America's Central Bank. President Jackson had previously dissolved the bank and Tyler's veto angered the Whig Party (his own party). Rioters gathered outside the White House and burned Tyler in effigy, threw stones at the White House, and fired guns. It may have been the most violent demonstration on White House grounds in U.S. history.

In 1858, at the age of 17 years old, Francis was alive when on January 25th, the "Wedding March" - composed by Felix Mendelssohn - became a popular wedding recessional after being played at the marriage of Queen Victoria's daughter Victoria - eldest child of Victoria and Albert and Princess Royal. Princess Victoria was married to Prince Friedrich of Prussia in St James's Palace, London and as with all things royal in Victorian England, everyone wanted it played at their wedding.
