My grandpa, Frank, passed away when I was around 1 years old, therefore, I didn't really get to know him. My family has told me many stories about him one in particular that my grandmother (his wife, Amelia) told me of how he passed away. It all started when their neighbor was getting robbed and he and my grandma went over to the house to help. They went into the house and found 3 young kids robbing their neighbors house, my grandma was knocked in the head and fell to the floor and my grandpa took off out the back door to chase one of the kids down the alley who had stole the neighbors purse. My grandpa never caught the thief, nor did the police. That night my grandparents were getting ready for bed, in those days they slept in separate rooms, he said goodnight to their bird and they went to their rooms. Shortly after, my grandmother heard noises from the room and thought that is was just my grandma snoring, she got up to check and found that he was heavily breathing, dying of a heartache. My family tells me that he was a great man and everyone liked him.
