    BAILEY, Jr., Frank Elmer Born September 20, 1920 in Los Angeles, CA; died October 9, 2002 in Santa Rosa, CA. Loving husband of Lula N. Bailey who died September 7, 2002, after a marriage of nearly 40 years. He is survived by two sons, William Bailey (Dee) of WA and Frank E. Bailey III of Los Angeles, CA, as well as nieces and other family members. He is also survived by step-sons, Jerry King (Kay) of Palo Cedro, CA, Larry King (Mary) of Klamath Falls, OR, and step-daughter, Peggy Roberts (Bob) of Rohnert Park, CA. Frank was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Petaluma 2nd Ward. He served as Sealer in the Oakland Temple and performed numerous marriage ceremonies up until only a few months prior to his death. Together with his wife, he served two full time missions for his church; one in Sydney, Australia; the other in Indianapolis, IN. A veteran of World War II, he proudly served his country from January 31, 1941 until August 6, 1945, when he was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant. He is a lifetime member of the American Legion, Monterey Park, CA. Frank has been an active member of the Sonoma Council Area Agency of Aging Advisory Council for many years. He was a Senator to the California Senior Legislature in Sacramento representing older Californians in Sonoma County for several years until the failing health of his wife. He remained on the Area Council until his death and had recently received a service plaque for his work. Frank had many careers in his lifetime but most enjoyed talking about when he worked for a laundry in Hollywood where he ironed shirts that Clark Gable wore in the movie Gone With the Wind. Frank was a chemist and in later years had a janitorial service. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service, Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 745 North Webster Street, Petaluma, CA. Family prefers memorial contributions to be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 104, c/o Bishop Kit Groves, 13 Cochrane Way, Petaluma, CA 94952. Arrangements made by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Ave. & Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA.
