He had siblings Marie (1906-2003), Magdalina "Lena" (1910-1983), and Mildred Katherine Dochnal (1928-1992). In 1935, he married Cecelia M Gasparovic (1913-1996). They resided in St Louis, St Louis City, Missouri and had a son together, Frank William Dochnal (1947-1991). Frank joined the US Military on April 26, 1944.
