He was assigned to the Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers, USA and at the time of his enlistment, Frank was ranked as a Private, Selectee (Enlisted Men). As a member of the Army during World War II, he likely participated in some capacity in the various battles and campaigns of the war. On January 14, 1948 he married Helen Jarzombek in Cook County, IL. He and his wife lived in Chicago and had a daughter, Christine A Fitt. At the time, he was working as an office clerk in the meat producer industry.
