Introduction

Fred enlisted with the 4th city territorial batallion of the Leics regiment on 27th march 1915. Would have tarnsfered to the 10th Lincs (the Grimsby chums) after the Leicesters appalling losses on the Somme. Died of his wounds whilst being evacuated at Blangy.
