  • Introduction

Grandpa Fred was one of the best men I ever knew and spoiled me rotten as his Non-blood granddaughter. I used to spend summers with him in Kaufman, TX on what I considered a farm back then. We rode horses, there were cows, I learned to drive a Volkswagen Bug on the 15 acres because I couldn't hurt anything but that old car. God love that man - he is always in my heart and I so hoped to see him before he passed

Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Fred

Although this man was not my blood grandfather, he treated me as if I was his flesh and blood. He was my step-grandfather for a while but I never knew he wasn't my grandfather until I was older. I loved him and treated him as if he were my flesh and blood. I would spend summers at his place in Kaufman Texas where he had 15 acres up until I married at age 18. He moved to Alaska to live in a more relaxed environment. He used to tell me he will be happy when he is at the base of a mountain in the middle of nowhere Alaska. So I suppose he was a happy man when he did pass, he was in Alaska, not sure about being at the base of the mountain as he had dreamed, but I certainly pray that he was. I will always love and keep in my heart MY GRANDPA FRED!!!
