He was married to Mary Jackson Hutto, and had children Doshie Lee (Hutto) Riley, Fred Hutto Jr., Lillie Pearl (Hutto) Neighbors Jones, and Dan Henry Hutto. Fred Hutto died at age 75 years old in November 1974, and was buried in 1976.
