    Frederick David Gesser was born to Edward and Ruth Gesser and had six siblings including Doris (1928-2009), Jean Claire (1929-2018), Anita M. (1937-2020), and Edward Gesser Jr. born in 1939. He enlisted in the United States military on July 20th 1942 in Camden New Jersey, and was admitted to a World War 2 hospital for injuries to his face caused by an unarmed fight in May 1944. He was discharged from the hospital the following month. Frederick was married twice and had four boys.
