Frederick Edwin Becton of New Bern, North Carolina United States was born in 1738 in New Bern to John Becton and Ann Curtis (Metts) Becton. He had siblings George Becton, Mary Becton Little, Sarah (Becton), Michael Becton, and Edmond Becton. He married Fruzan (Speight) on April 21, 1759 in New Bern, Craven County, and they were married until Frederick's death on December 13, 1775. Frederick Becton had children Sarah (Becton), Elizabeth Ann Becton, John Becton, Edmund Becton, Fruzan (Becton) Whitfield, and Frederick Edwin Becton Jr..
