He had siblings Louisa Elizabeth Beard, Matilda Sophia Beard, Mabel Egerton Beard, Bertha Annetta Beard, Eva Beard, Ethel Constance Beard, Constance Ethel Beard, Edgar Stanley Beard, and Charles Arthur Beard. Frederick Beard died at age 69 years old in 1957 in Wont.

In 1888, in the year that Frederick George Beard was born, on January 12th, the 'Schoolhouse Blizzard' blanketed Dakota Territory. Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas were hit, leaving 235 dead. Many of those who perished were children on their way home from school. The day was relatively warm when it began and the blizzard hit unexpectedly, catching most by surprise.

In 1891, Frederick was merely 3 years old when from March 9th through the 12th, a blizzard hit the south and west of England. Called the Great Blizzard of 1891, it led to snow drifts of up to 15 feet and killed 200 people and 6,000 animals. Fourteen ships sank.
