Frederick George Kirby of Leongatha Australia was born on August 10, 1859 in Daylesford, Hepburn Shire County, VIC to David George Kirby and Mary Ann (Sumner) Kirby. He had a brother William Davies Kirby. He married Ruth Dina (Hitt) Kirby in 1882, and had children Selena Agnes (Kirby) Sutherland, George Alfred Kirby, Nellie Elizabeth Kirby, Gerte Ada (Kirby) Austin, Elsie Ethel (Kirby) Vinen, Gladys Alice (Kirby) Oliver, Alma Florence Kirby, and Lindsay Hector Kirby. Frederick Kirby died at age 85 years old on September 9, 1944 in Mirboo North.
