He had siblings Frederick Harold Sandberg, Lillian Gertrude Sandberg, Alma Elizabeth Sandberg, Alfreda Marie Sanberg, Edward Sandberg, Lillian Gerte Taylor, Hugh Carl Sandberg, and Cora Mildred Sandberg. Frederick Sandberg died at age 79 years old in 1965 in Ballarat.
