He later completed at least two years of college.

    Frederick Harold "Fritz" Hutt, 91, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. He was born July 11, 1923, in Peoria, Ill., the son of Fred and Elizabeth (Kraemer) Hutt. He married Margaret Johnson on Dec. 4, 1948, in East Peoria. She survives of East Peoria. Also surviving are his children, Gail (Randy) Long, Janet (Dave) Boeker, and Steve (Dolores) Hutt; and his sister, Nancy (Dick) Salzer. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack Hutt, and his sister, Betty Buehler. Fritz was inducted to the Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the 1938 and 1940 East Peoria High School football teams. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He owned his own business in East Peoria before going into sales. Burial will be in Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria. Full obit in The Peoria Journal Star - Mar. 26, 2015.
