Frederick Wilhelm Berthun of Benalla, Benalla Rural City County, VIC Australia was born on May 2, 1873 in Geelong, Greater Geelong City County to Johanne Auguste Sophia Brunstein and Wilhelm "William" Berthun. He had a sister Emma Auguste Henrietta Berthun. He married Mary Ann Old Berthun on September 24, 1901 in Boxwood, Victoria, and had children William John Berthun and George Raymond Berthun.
