Introduction

I am male, 63 yrs old now. I was a foster child in her care (with husband Frank (Francis) Sibrava. They were the most stability I ever had as a child. I stayed with them ages 7-11. I had been with 6 different homes from the time I was 3 years old until I had reached them at 7 years old. Anyway, the 4-5 years I stayed with them were shared with 2 others foster children (Susan and Christine). It was the only time I felt family as a child. I called them Mom and Dad. Wonderful, caring people who gave all their foster kids a place to grow up like kids should grow up. Values, Church, little league and Plays & choir at school. They were there, involved, strict, structured, wonderful people who I owe most of whatever that's decent that resides in me...comes from "Freddie" and Frank. Not sure if this is what this site is for but, if it is...it's a wonderful, caring thing and thank you for it.

In 1916, in the year that Fredericka v Sibrava was born, visiting nurse Margaret Sanger opened the first birth control clinic in the U.S. at 46 Amboy St. in Brooklyn New York. Ten days after the clinic opened, Sanger was arrested for "violating laws against giving out birth control information" which was defined as obscenity. The clinic was not handing out birth control - just information about sex and birth control methods. (The Comstock law categorized information about abortion, family planning, and contraception as “obscene”.) The clinics and organizations that Sanger established later evolved into the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

(Mussolini waited in Milan, he did not participate in the March.)
