Grandson
Frieda was an extraordinary human being in all ways. She turned one year old on a Canadian Steamship on the Atlantic Ocean while immigrating from Russia (Crimea/ Ukraine) with her parents due to the upcoming unrest and persecution of the German people in the region. They landed in Sault ST. Marie, Michigan/ Canada and then to Kulm, ND. Then to Idaho after three years, She outlived all of her siblings except the youngest, and outlived her Husband and all of her Children, living to be 4 days short of 100 years old. Her story is long.

My Mother Doris was Frieda's oldest child born December 23, 1930 in St Francis, Kansas.

My Gramma
Frieda was my grandmother on my mothers side of our family. Born in Russia and became American as a baby in 1909-1910. Very much loved by her entire family of 100s of people. A real American pioneer.

My life tidbits.
Not sure how to write down things I remember and make them useful. I never considered writing a paper to share but here are the thoughts and memories.

I am at present 72 years old and fighting cancer. Many people through my life were suggesting that the stories of my family were things that helped build the American west. I never thought much about it all at the time. Now ,as I reflect back I see such value an appreciation for how I lived my life.
