Fritz was my great uncle. He was born in Norway and came to the United States in his teens with his father, Johan Stein and my grandfather, Olaf and two sisters, Elisabeth and Elen (aka Ella). They lived in Pierce County, Wisconsin for several years prior to moving to Oberon, North Dakota in Benson County. They entered the farming trade. He was married to Julia Thompson and had 2 daughters, Cora and Fern. Julia died in 1919 shortly after the birth of Fern.
