Garth Wilbur James Smalley was born on April 12, 1969 in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey United States to Gustav William Smalley and Gail Louise Smalley, and had siblings Gustav William Smalley Jr., Glenn Gary Smalley, and Gordon Bernard Smalley. He married Gina Marie Smalley in 2000 in East Brunswick, Middlesex County, and they were married until Garth's death on December 4, 2021 in East Brunswick. He had children Charlotte Rae Smalley, Christopher Garth Smalley, and Riley Maureen Smalley. Garth Smalley was buried on December 9, 2021 in New Brunswick.
