George was born in Gõettingen and emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio when Georg was 5 years old. Grew up in the Cleveland and Akron-Cleveland area during which the family moved sixteen times. Graduated from Barberton High School in 1965. Graduated from Heidelberg College with a B.A.Honors Degree in history 1969. George moved to New York City in 1969 and did graduate work in History at New York University. Extensive travels in Europe in the summer of 1971 on the spur of the moment, decided to stay on in Copenhagen, Denmark. Graduate work in history at the University of Copenhagen.

Graduated from Barberton High School in 1965. Graduated from Heidelberg College with a B.A .Honors Degree in history 1969. George moved to New York City in 1969 and did graduate work in History at New York University. After trip to Europe he stayed In Copenhagen Denmark and The university of Copenhagen he did Graduate work in history at the University of Copenhagen.
