    Difficult to find information about Dr. Clotfelter's service. Per "United States Deceased Physician File (AMA), 1864-1968" at FamilySearch, Dr. Clotfelter "...served during the Spanish-American and World Wars...". I haven't yet found any record of his WWI service. Per photo caption at Find-A-Grave memorial 45338884 , served in 5th Illinois Infantry and 130th Infantry. Per Ancestry info below, it was 5th Infantry, not 5th Illinois Infantry. No record of 130th Infantry yet - WWI? ============================================ Per Ancestry's "U.S., Adjutant General Military Records, 1631-1976" GEORGE A. CLOTFELTER. -- Major, Medical Corps, January 7, 1913. - 5th Infantry. -- Hillsboro. enlisted Co. E, 5th Inf., October 29, 1897; discharged, G. O. No. 20, A. G. O., September 9, 1898; re-enlisted, Co. This photo appears to be attached to the wrong person. The photo is of George A. Clotfelter. The biography is for George Lee Clotfelter, who died 17 years before the Spanish-American War.

Find-A-Grave memorial 45338884 is for Dr. George Abner Clotfelter (1867 - 1924), who appears to be the man in the photo.
