George Andrew Hayward of Skipton, VIC Australia was born on August 24, 1887 in Carngham, Pyrenees Shire County to William Thomas Hayward and Elspeth Lumbsden (Ringin) Hayward. He had a brother William Thomas Hayward. He married Ada Florence Ebbels in 1919, and had a child Alma Florence Hayward. George Hayward died at age 65 years old in 1952 in Skipton.

In 1887, in the year that George Andrew Hayward was born, on July 1st, the assembly for the supports of the Eiffel Tower began . A wrought iron lattice tower, it was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel - who also contributed to the building of the Statue of Liberty. There are 18,000 pieces in the Eiffel Tower - which had to be built separately and then assembled in place - with rivets - to complete the Tower.
