In July your late manager, Mr. Stichlling, resigned, and your directors were fortunate enough to secure the services of Mr. George Stephenson, who has so successfully managed the Upper Maffra Butter and Cheese Factory Company. The Gippsland Times.September 1925. SALE DISTRICT CO-OPERATIVE BUTTER & COOL STORAGE CO. LTD. The chairman said he could not allow the meeting to pass without referring to the great loss the company had sustained with the death of their late manager. If any man's name was written in gold it should be that of George Stephenson, who practically sacrificed his life in furthering the company's interest's, and making it the success it has proved.( Hear, Hear.) The Gippsland Times, February, 1935. THE BUTTER INDUSTRY. Sale Factory a Valuable Asset. The successful reconstruction of the company and the erection of the new factory was due in a great measure to the energy and initiative displayed by the then manager and secretary, the late George Francis Stephenson.
