He married Helen McCartney(Joan Stephens) in February 1981, and they were married until George's death on March 13, 2006. He had children Charles Stephens, Julie (Stephens) (Barton), and Joanie (Stephens) Lewsneski. George Mccoy was buried in March 2006 at Moscow cemetery in Moscow.

Once had a train depot. former Muscatine Wilton Iowa. Nephew of Frederick (Betty) Mauer. Cousins of earl and mehrle wood.thaddyus. Ben Nye. (Relative) (wildcatden)Merchant. Father Charles Passed away in a steam boiler explosion. Leaving behind Wife Charles Selma Mccoy. Uncle JOhn marolf. AUNT Eva marolf an friend handyman "guy" operated the produce stand which is now BIrkhofers produce. George was a granfather MASON. Wife Helen eastern star. George F. Mccoy. No relation to Matt Mccoy. George was a historian- storyteller WITH publications on cassette tapes. Enjoyed, teaching , delivering mail. Did serve in ww2, receiving teletype stating the war was over... Mr. McCoy Enjoyed tractor collecting, trade fairs, world travel and hat collecting. George enjoyed his Ford model T until later becoming blind. George was an organist for the church. After ww2 with Bankers life ins. Policy purchased his own farm before caring for all aunt's. In 2008 three (3) of 261 cabins along the cedar were hit by the flood of 2008. Fema disaster bulldozed 3. Aunt Frieda Merrick. EVA MAROLF died 1989'. Bowman. Cousin. Nancy Marolf died in 1992' ..JOAN CHARLES STEPHENS . Rock island IL. FAMILY OR known travels to the red barn in basalt CO. Vegas. Cousin in VIrgina, Canada.
