George Henry Walliss 1875 - 1955

George Henry Walliss of Cheltenham, VIC Australia was born on August 16, 1875 in Werribee, City of Wyndham County to Charles Walliss and Susan Argent Walliss. He had siblings Thomas Argent Walliss and Walter William Walliss. He married Edith Emily (Mcleod) Walliss in 1899, and had children Ruby Ethel Susan Walliss, Eva May Walliss, Herbert George Walliss, Alice Maud Walliss, Jean Agnes Walliss, and John Mcleod Walliss. George Walliss died at age 79 years old on June 27, 1955 in Cheltenham.

Opposed by the public, the "public accommodations" sections of the Act were overturned by the Supreme Court eight years later.
