Obituary as published in the Norwalk Reflector, May 26, 1990:
GEORGE L. MURRAY
WAKEMAN -- George L. Murray, 79, of Maple Heights, Ohio, died Monday at his residence after a short illness.
He was born in Wakeman. As a young man, he was employed at his uncle's gas station in Monroeville and attended Monroeville High School, graduating in 1928. He resided in Maple Heights most of his life, where he was employed at Pesco Products, Inc. until retiring.
Mr. Murray was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Bedford, Ohio.
Surviving are his wife, Marie (Vourron) Murray; sons Thomas and Dennis, both of Lakewood, and Lawrence of Parma; six grandchildren, sisters Mrs. Berten (Ann) Keith of Wakeman and Mary C. Murray of Norwalk; and brothers Robert of Fairview Park, Alfred of Brecksville and Louis of Wakeman.
He was preceded in death by brothers Lawrence, Joseph and Paul; and his parents James and Catherine (McMahon) Murray.
A memorial Mass was held Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Bedford.
