Earl; grandfathers, George B. Earl and Royal Nace; grandmother, Francis (Wadman) Everett; and, uncle, Leonard Earl. Survived by his mother, Darlene Kucera; step-mother, Norma Earl; grandmother, Gertrude Nace; brothers, David Earl, William Earl, Robert Earl, Brian Earl, Donnie Kucera and Glenn Peterson; sisters, Vicki Johnson and Kim Morehead; aunts, Starlene Ziemer, Nellie Grooms; uncles, Rex Earl, Max Earl, Don Earl, and Chester Curttright; and, 19 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews; A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Messinger Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Arizona Republic, The (Phoenix, AZ) - March 22, 2005 Burial: Unknown

In 1964, by the time he was just 6 years old, in June, three young civil rights workers - Andrew Goodman and Mickey Schwerner from New York City, and James Chaney from Meridian, Mississippi - were kidnapped and murdered in Mississippi. Working with "Freedom Summer", they were registering African-Americans to vote in the Southern states. Their bodies were found two months later. Although it was discovered that the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, the Neshoba County Sheriff's Office and the Philadelphia, Mississippi Police Department were involved, only 7 men were convicted and served less than six years.
