George Mclear was born in 1840 in Camden, NSW Australia, and had siblings John McLear, William John McLear, and Mary Anne (McLear) Gibson. He was married to Emmeline "Emily" Louise McLear ( Newstead, and had children George Alfred McLear, Mary Ann Aust ( McLear, John "Jack" McLear, Emily McLear, Henry McLear., Kathleen Pettigrew ( McLear, Samuel McLear, and Evelyn Guy ( McLear. George Mclear died at age 78 years old in 1918, and was buried in Dromana, Mornington Peninsula Shire County, VIC.
