A Joseph H. Miller & Ruth (Sheeks) Family Reunion
This picture was said to have been taken abt 1908 or 1909. The unknown person who identified the family members knew all the men, but only two of the women and two of the children for certain. In the back row are: Lige aka Elijah B.; Ella?; J. B.; George; Edwin; Frank; Dave. In the center of the middle row, holding a child, is Ruth (Sheeks) Miller; Henry Miller, holding his son Ansel; and Lou Miller, sister of the Miller brothers, is second from the right. Next to Lou, on the right, is Charlie, perhaps holding Faye and Maye, his twin daughters. The unnamed women are believed to be the wives of the various men, except for Henry's wife, Addie, who was absent. Seated in the front row of children, from left to right: Roy and David. The other children in the front row are thought to be Lulu, Ross, and Myron, Lige's children. The patriarch of the family, Joseph H. Miller, may have been deceased. He moved the entire family to Kansas from Mitchell, Lawrence County, Indiana.
