George Leoni
One of my Civil War images in my collection...George N. Leoni - Residing in Delavan, Illinois, George enlisted on 9-6-1861 as a Sgt.in Company "H", 4th Illinois Cavalry. He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on 2/25/1863, discharged for promotion to Captain on 1/16/1865. He was appointed Captain in the 1st Cavalry Mississippi Rifles. The photo was taken July 24th, 1864 in Natchez, Mississippi.
