    George Patrick Hollowell November 11, 1952 - March 30, 2017 George Patrick Hollowell, 64, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on November 11, 1952 in Sweetwater, Texas to G.L. and Shirley (Smith) Hollowell. He graduated from Wellington High School. After school he married the love of his life, Katherine Hines, on September 23, 1972 in Odessa, Texas. Together they began their family. He was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Katherine; one son, Seth Hollowell and wife Daniele; father, G.L. Hollowell; two brothers, Ben Hollowell and wife Glynda, Lowell Hollowell and wife Beverly; two sisters, Mary Hollis and husband Willie, Amy Hamlin and husband Bobby; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; son, Matthew Alexander; grandson, Noah; and sister, Renee. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 1 - 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Southcrest Baptist Church, with burial to follow at the Nolan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 222 S. Riverside Plaza, Suite 1500, Chicago, Illinois 60606, or to a charity of your choice. - Online memorials, Combest Family Funeral Homes, Lubbock, Texas
