George Parker was born in 1898 to William Henry Parker and Tryphena (Storer) Parker, and had siblings Thomas Storer Parker and Edith Tryphena (Parker) Gittus. He married Doris Eileen (Bidmeade) Parker, and had children Robert George Parker and Marjorie (Parker) Ward. George Parker died at age 81 years old in 1979, and was buried at Fawkner Memorial Park 1187 Sydney Rd, in Fawkner, Moreland City County, VIC Australia.

In 1898, in the year that George Parker was born, on February 15th, the USS Maine exploded and sank in Havana harbor. The reason for the explosion has never been found, but it killed 266 men. "Remember the Maine" became a rallying cry and precipitated the United States' declaration of war on Spain two months later - the beginning of the Spanish-American War. On December 10th, the war ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris. The Treaty gave the U.S. Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Guam - for $20 million - and, temporarily, Cuba.

In 1940, when he was 42 years old, on July 27th, the cartoon character Bugs Bunny debuted in his first film A Wild Hare - voiced by Mel Blanc. He has since appeared in more short films, feature films, compilations, TV series, music records, comic books, video games, award shows, amusement park rides, and commercials than any other cartoon character. He even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "What's up, Doc?"
