He had siblings Blanche Baylor (1891-1979), Alvin D Baylor (1893-1984), Dallas Baylor (1896-1987), Lola Louise Baylor (1898-1980), Beulah Baylor (1900-1958), Lewis Leon Baylor (1903-1988), and an infant that did not survive (1912-1912). On June 26, 1919 he married Verona Elizabeth Wolf (1895–1981) in Floyd County, Indiana and the couple had 5 children including Virginia Elizabeth Baylor (1920-2011), Dorothy Matilda Baylor (1922-2008), George Roger Baylor Jr (1925-2001), and Joan Baylor (1934-2004). George served as a private in the US Army during World War I and worked as a farmer in civilian life.
