He married Margaret Annie (Catchlove) Godbehear, and had children Florence Margaret Rowse Godbehear, Wesley George Catchlove Godbehear, Blanche May Annie Godbehear, Gladys Edith Godbehear, and Herbert Catchlove Godbehear. George Godbehear died at age 83 years old on January 12, 1953 in Hawthorn.
