George V. Treace was born on February 14th, 1915 to Frank L. Treace (1883 - 1957) and Anna Kelderhouse (1894 - 1966). His father was born in Indiana and his mother was born in Illinois. George Treace married Muriel Treace (1906 - 1998). George died in 1980 at the age of 64, predeceasing Muriel. They are buried together in Beverly Cemetery on Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois.

George was Caucasian, of Dutch heritage on his maternal line. His maternal grandfather, Gerrit Harmens Kelderhuis, was born in the Netherlands, as was his maternal grandmother, Mechelina Mulder.

By the time that he was 25 years old, George said that he had completed the seventh grade.

George was confirmed on March 25th 1934 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America located in Blue Island, Illinois.

On his death certificate, George's usual occupation was listed as a "driver" in the "mobile home" industry. At the age of 25, in 1940 while living in Thornton, Illinois, George was a truck driver.

George married Muriel Treace and they didn't have children. He had a son, Franklin, two daughters, Shirlee and Bonnie, and was survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. George had been a member of the Flossmoor Moose Lodge number 1203.
