McKinley Gaither, D.D. Pastor officiating -The Obituary- GERALDINE J. GREER was born November 26, 1932 and she departed this life on May 29, 1981. Geraldine is the first child born to Mr. and Mrs. E. Hughes of Union, South Carolina. She went to MacBeth Elementary School and also attended Sims High School in Union, South Carolina. She also attended Business School at Pierce, Temple University, and O.I.C. She accepted the Lord at an early age and was a faithful member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church, Union, South Carolina where Rev. J.C. Copeland is Pastor. Geraldine moved to Philadelphia where she married; (Roland Greer) to this union four children were born. She joined the Bibleway Baptist Church and remained a member until her death. She leaves to morn her departure from this life: four children: Leroy Greer - U.S. Army, Eugene Greer - New York, City, Cathy and Patricia of Philadelphia, one adopted daughter - Deborah V. Rothwell of Philadelphia, Mother, Eunice Hughes of Union, South Carolina, Sister Clara Sims of Union, South Carolina, five grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
