Gibson Gwagwa Masango of Tshankwa primary school, in Plumtree Zimbabwe was born on December 24, 1924. He was married to Sonile Manyanya (Moyo) Masango, and had children Mandlenkosi Mavis Masango, Celani Masango, Machael Gwanga Masango, Oliver Masango, Abel Masango, and Edwin Masango. Gibson Masango died at age 89 years old on August 12, 2014, and was buried circa August 13, 2014.

    Gibson Gwagwa Masango was/is a decendant of Bejisa Masango. Bejisa was a chief warrior of King Mzilikazi. They migrated North to then Rhodesia when they fled Tshaka Zulu the King. They located in Zimbabwe where other Masango people are now scatered. Bejisa is the ancestor of Masango people who are in Zimbabwe. Gibson Gwagwa Masango lived to tell Mango people about how they ended up in Zimbabwe. In other words he was a historian of Masango people, he also cited and taught them their clan names and their history. He was a very intelligent man, one of the very few people I know who knew more than 9 languages. He have 5 sons, 1 daughter and 13 grand children, and 19 or more great grand children. He lived in plumtree Tshankwa in Zimbabwe.
