Gilbert Manus Magill married Fannie May Moorhouse 1st January 1900. They lived in Hay, NSW before being forced off the farm by drought.Nan , his wife, used to tell me stories of the bad dust storms and harsh conditions in the country.He once owned or had shares in a horse named 'Roseberry' who won quite a few races in the early 1900s including one at Wagga Wagga. They moved to Sydney , living at Fivedock and Leichardt. He was buried in Manly Cemetary (North Sydney). He served in WW1 .
