    Gisela "GG" Akers Dale July 10, 1948 - January 14, 2023 Gisela Akers Dale “GG” 74 years old passed away on Saturday January 14, 2023. Born on July 10, 1948 in Bad Nauheim, Germany. She has resided in Twin Branch for over 50 years. Gisela was the daughter of the late Heinz & Elizabeth Becker. She was proceeded in death by husbands Tom Akers, and Ron Dale. Gisela spent 25 years dedicated to working at Welch Community Hospital where she retired. She was also a proud foster grandparent at Coalfield Cap Head Start for 4 years. Gisela was of the Baptist Religion. Her hobbies included reading, quilt making and shopping with her special friend Brenda McNeely. She wasn’t big on technology, however she loved Facebook! Gisela will be remembered for being a great friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She had loving siblings Jurgen Becker, Pete Becker, Heinzi Becker, and Kornelia (Connie) Wenzel whom all reside in Germany. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children Connie Akers, Joseph Akers – wife Miriam, Audrey Akers – husband Perry, Jacky Akers – wife Leeanne, Howard Akers – wife Becky. Gisela had many loving grandchildren. Tiffany Akers, Misty Akers & Maurice, Kristy Akers & Michael, Hannah Akers & Terry, Cheyanne Potter & Josh, Marvin Potter & Caitlin, Brittany Rotenberry & Scott, Melea Akers & Teddy, Beth Akers & Deshawn, Sarha Akers, Samantha Roberts, Erica Akers & Joe, Andrew Akers & Kylie, and Taylor Akers. Gisela also had many great grandchildren that she cherished and enjoyed spending quality time with. Eddie & Ethan, Aubrey, Karisma, Daxton, Ashton, Chase, Cali, Ryan, Cora, Mila, Luca, Aaliyah, Deshawn Jr., Drake, Arionna & Brantley. She will have three additional grandchildren that will be born later this year. Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 PM - Noon on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch, West Virginia officiated by Pastor Marie Bolden to honor and celebrate Gisela’s life and memories. A visitation will be held the hour prior from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell, WV. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Fanning Funeral Home of Welch is serving the family.
