In the 1950s, almost every family had friends and/or family members who were in the military. World War II had ended just a few years before and the Korean Conflict had started in 1950. This 1952 photo in the Willow Glen district of San Jose CA (now Silicon Valley) is of Kathy (left) and Pam (right) Kroetch with their mother's high school classmates, Bob Olson (left) and Glen Heistand (right). It's Pam's birthday today!
