  • Introduction

    He was a farmer, a school principal, and a devout 7th day Adventist. His mother died in childbirth when he was 7. The baby died as well. After that, he spent time in an orphanage and eventually joined the Military, serving in WW2 as a conscientious objector in Papau, New Guinea. Mr. Schaeffer married Florence Murrill and had two children, William Alan and Sharon Lee. He developed Alzheimer’s dementia and died of it at age 92. His son, Alan, also developed dementia and died of it at age 69. His only living close family descendants are his daughter, and his granddaughter, Amy Schaeffer, and her three children.
