    Surrounded by family on November 2, 2008, Glenda Jean Bailey left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior. Funeral services, under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home, will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 5, 2008, at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bill Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at the Cedar Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Davis-Morris. Glenda was born in Temple, Texas on October 13, 1938 to L.D. & Mary Snodgrass. She married Garland Bailey on July 22, 1957 in Mexico. Glenda was a wonderful seamstress and did work for the public for many years. She obtained her real estate license in 1978. She began her real estate career in Brownwood and until she retired in 2000. She began her "antiquing" career. In April 2000 Glenda opened Mountain Antiques in Santa Anna until its closing in 2007. She and Garland had hoped to travel. Glenda is survived by her husband of 51 years, one sister Rosemary Goode of Rusk, daughters, Carren Moore of Brownwood, Suzanne Monroe and husband Christopher of Cushing, Tx., Marla Bailey and husband Ronnny Moore of Thrifty, nine grandchildren, A.J. & Staci Moore of Kingsville, Tx., Taylor & Emily Moore of Brownwood, Tx., James Smith of Brownwood, Macee & Dylan Smith of Cushing, Jordan & McKenna Wolf of Thrifty, & numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Ray Bailey, granddaughter Vanessa Hope Moore, her parents L.D. Snodgrass & Mary & Earl Campbell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Grosvenor, 110 Parkway, Brownwood, TX., 76801 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 15186, Austin, TX 78761.
