    Gloria S. Predni, 64 of McHenry county, Illinois, Died September 5, 2007 in her home, at Burtons Bridge, Illinois. She was born September 26, 1944 in Spokane, Washington, to Alice L. (Edwards- Christensen) Kreusch. Granddaughter of Charlie and Beatrice Logsdon Edwards. Gloria’s father and mother divorced when she was an infant and she was adopted by her step-father, Harvey Kreusch. She had one brother Mike Kreusch. Gloria married James Baugh and had two sons; Michael James Baugh and Joseph Predni ( Joe was adopted by Gloria’s second husband and took the Predni name ), When James Baugh died, Gloria married Robert Predni and raised his two daughters Heidi Eubanks and Chari Dodge. Gloria was a Grandmother of Meira Jane Baugh, Logon Predni, Courtney Eubanks , Kyle Eubanks. Jessica Dodge, & Emily Albrecht ( Chari’s daughter)

In 1942, in the year that Gloria Suzanne Christenson-Kreusch-Baugh-Predni was born, from January 7th through April 9th, the Battle of Bataan was fought in the Philippines. At the end of the battle, the U.S. and Filipino forces surrendered and a three-year occupation of the Philippines by Japan began. Between 60,000 and 80,000 American and Filipino soldiers surrendered and were marched around 60 to 69 miles - most were beaten, abused, or killed. Named the Bataan Death March, it was later declared to be a war crime.
