Goldie Irene Glaser is the daughter of Emanuel Glaser and Anna M Bucholz. Her father Emanuel was born on September 17, 1891 in Fairfax, Gregory South Dakota, USA. Both of his parents were born in Russia and immigrated to the US. On July 7, 1914 he married Anna Maria Margaret Buchholz (1892–1973) in Avon, Bon Homme, South Dakota, USA. Together they had 7 children together and Emanuel worked as a farmer in Owanka, Pennington, South Dakota and later was a plumber in Yankton, South Dakota. He passed away on September 1, 1950 in Yankton, South Dakota, USA. Her mother Anna Maria was born on January 2, 1892 in Wagner, Charles Mix, South Dakota, USA and she grew up in Bon Homme, South Dakota, USA. Both of her parents were born in Russia/Germany and immigrated to the US. She married Emanuel on July 7, 1914 and was mother to seven children. She was a WPA laborer and worked odd jobs. After Emanuel's passing in 1950 she re married to Frank Eberle (1886–1967) on Novemebr 28, 1957 in Yankton, South Dakota, USA. They had ten years of marriage before he passed away and then Anna Maria passed away on July 6, 1973 in Yankton, South Dakota, USA.

Goldie was born in New Underwood, Pennington, South Dakota, USA and grew up and lived most of her life in Yankton, South Dakota. She later moved to Yakima, Washington, USA where she passed away.

Goldie was one of seven children in her family and had siblings Rose Althea Glaser (1919-2004), Harold Glaser (1923-1925), Viola Grace Vi Glaser (1926-2015), Ruth Yvonne Glaser (1927-1971), Bernice Lorraine Glaser (1929-1997), and Donavan Emanuel Glaser (1932-2016). She completed at least two years of high school at Yankton High School (Yankton, South Dakota, USA). She was a student there in 1938.

On June 20, 1939 at the age of 18 she married John Michael Jack Gallagher (1920–1999) in Yankton, South Dakota, USA. The couple had a daughter Carolyn Gallagher and a son Gary Jack Gallagher (1941-2012). Goldie later re married to Edwin H Rapp Sr (1905-1978) on October 20, 1947 in Yankton, South Dakota, USA. Together they had a son Edwin Harry Rapp Jr (Feb 15, 1953-October 17, 2005).
