Gordon P. Kenn, 60, of Dover, NH, formerly of Braintree, Mass., passed away suddenly at his home on April 13, 2011. He was born on July 28, 1950, the son of Gordon R. Kenn and Bette (Restelli). He was raised and educated in Braintree and graduated from Archbishop William's High School, class of 1968. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school and served for four years, honorably discharged. Gordon had worked at Pease Air Force Base as an aviation mechanic. He retired in 2008 from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a crane operator with more than 20 years of service. He was a history enthusiast who especially enjoyed military aviation history. He enjoyed watching both the military and history channels and assembling model airplanes. He loved animals. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his infectious laugh and his kind heart. He was a true "gentle giant." He is survived by his son, Jeffrey A. Kenn of Kittery, Maine; and his sister, Janet Gouveia and her husband, Noel, of Braintree, Mass. Friends and family are invited to attend Gordon's Memorial Service on Thursday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., in Dover. Burial will take place at a later date in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, Mass.
