Grace (Kelly) Griffiths was born in August 1865 to Ellen Elizabeth (Quinn) King and John “Red” Kelly, and had siblings Catherine Ada "Kate" (Kelly) Foster, Edward “Ned” Kelly, Margaret Mildred (Kelly) Lloyd, Daniel Kelly, and James Kelly. She married Edward Albert Griffiths, and had children Sarah Ann "Ellen" (Griffiths) Westman, Albert Edward Griffiths, Archibald Walter Griffiths, Adelaide Amelia (Griffiths) Whitehead, John James Griffiths, Peter William Griffiths, Patrick Charles Griffiths, Michael Leslie Griffiths, and Joseph Griffiths. Grace Griffiths died at age 74 years old on May 3, 1940 at Wangaratta in Rural City of Wangaratta, Victoria Australia, and was buried in Greta Cemetery.

The Benalla Ensign, Victoria. 31st May 1940. - MRS. E. GRIFFITHS. The death occurred on Tuesday night at a private hospital in Wangaratta, of Mrs. Grace Griffiths, of Greta West, at the age of 76 years. Mrs. Griffiths had been in indifferent health for some time. She was possessed of a kindly disposition and was always ready to assist her neighbors, particularly in times of trouble. Her husband predeceased her ten months ago, and she leaves seven sons, Albert ( Greta West ), Walter ( Thoona ), Leslie, John, Peter, Joseph and Patrick ( Greta West ), and two daughters, Mrs. J. D. Westman ( Queensland ), and Mrs. J. Whitehead ( The Rock, N.S.W. ).
