    Gration, or Gracian, Harry Zabrocki was born on December 18th, 1879 in Zabrody, Poland, to John Joseph Zabrocki (1850 - 1930) and Frances Barbara Cisewski (1861 - 1959). Both of his parents were born in Poland. Gration had eight siblings: Frank, Julian, Julia, Julius, Felix, Steven, Frank, and Maryann Zabrocki. Gration H. Zabrocki married Pelagia "Tillie" Stanislawski (1883 - 1972) on February 16th, 1903, in Greenbush, Minnesota. They had nine children: Joseph, Clara, Harry, Nora, Mary Ann, Albin, Florence, Leonard, and Raymond Zabrocki. Gracian Harry Zabrocki died on December 10th, 1974 in Greenbush, Minnesota at the age of 94, a half a world away from his native Poland and a naturalized citizen of the United States. He is buried in Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Greenbush, Roseau County, Minnesota.

On his April, 1942 World War II draft card, Gration was described as being 63 years old, five feet, 6 1/2 inches tall, and weighed 182 pounds. He had blue eyes, gray hair, and a "ruddy" complexion.
